ABOUT NATALIE
Natalie has been interested in birth and babies since she was a child. After her first child was born in a cold hospital environment, she attended her first homebirth at 19 years old. The difference was truly astonishing. From that day, Natalie has continued to learn, grow, and to help as many women around her as possible have the kind of empowering birth they instinctually crave. Natalie has since had three more children, one with a hospital midwife and two at home. In 1999, she received a degree at UC Davis in Nutrition Science and worked for a time with a community clinic both learning from the midwives there and becoming a volunteer doula for the women who needed one. She then began a professional doula practice in 2001 and has attended births intermittently ever since.
After 15 years, she has finally had the blessing to take the next step and become a Student Midwife. Her current plan is to study and apprentice as a student midwife and in a couple of years, earn her CPM. In the meantime, she is available for hire as a BIRTH DOULA. As her knowledge continues to grow, so does her love and awe of the pregnant and laboring woman. She remains committed to helping women to find their power in birth and motherhood. Feel free to give her a call anytime to discuss her services or to schedule an interview.
